Kristin is originally from Michigan, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Michigan State University. Kirstin’s interest in research and the opportunity to complete an overseas clinical experience drew her to Georiga for an MS degree in Occupational Therapy at Brenau University.
After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas, where she worked in both the hospital and outpatient pediatric settings. Her pediatric work specialized in hippotherapy, social and emotional learning, and aqua therapy interventions.
After several years she decided to explore travel opportunities that took her to the west coast to Nevada, California, and Hawaii. Her love for the outdoors eventually brought her to Alaska. She now has called Alaska home. Kirstin started with PLPT in June 2019.
She has trained in The Beckman Oral Motor training protocol, and areas of interest include psychological and behavioral development, oral motor dysfunction, and sensory processing disorders.
