Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists help children participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). We help children with special needs to participate fully in school and social situations and overall lead a happier, healthier, and more meaningful life. Occupational therapy services typically include:
- an individualized evaluation, during which the parents or guardians and occupational therapist determine the child’s goals,
- customized intervention to improve the child’s ability to perform daily activities and reach the goals, and
- an outcomes evaluation to ensure that the goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan.
Occupational therapy services may include recommendations for adaptive equipment and training in its use, and guidance and education for parents and caregivers. Occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective, in which the focus is on adapting the environment to fit the child, and the child is an integral part of the therapy team.

Occupational Therapists
As with all our staff, our Occupational Therapists are highly trained and certified in their field and participate in continuing education, keeping abreast of new developments in therapeutic techniques to assist children with special needs or development challenges.
Pediatric Physical Therapy
Developmental delays, genetic disorders, injuries or other circumstances may impede your child’s strength, range of motion and coordination. For these reasons physicians often recommend Physical Therapy for children. Our Physical Therapists are here to evaluate your child, create a comprehensive treatment plan to address any concerns and carry out therapy.
Through developmental activities, strength and balance exercises, stretches, adaptive play, massage and other physical therapy techniques, we’ll encourage improvements in your child’s movement and ability to accomplish daily activities. Our pediatric therapists aim to improve your child’s physical well-being, limit any pain or discomfort as a result of physical problems, and educate parents to better assist the child at home.
For our staff, there’s nothing better than seeing a child reach his or her goals and master new skills and abilities.

Physical Therapists
Our Physical Therapists are here to help your child take those big steps and gain the strength and confidence needed for improved movement and mobility. They are highly trained and specialize in the needs of children. Be sure to visit our Therapists page to meet everyone.
My son began OT about a year ago and everything has gone great. Miss Emily greets our family with a huge smile every week, and we look forward to each visit which are both helpful and made fun for my little guy. All the staff is friendly and definitely recommend them for your therapy sessions.

At his year evaluation, his improvement has surpassed all our expectations. He is excited to go to therapy every session. I really feel like we are all working together to reach his goals. We feel so safe and happy he is in their care.
My Granddaughter has been receiving physical therapy and occupational therapy from Playful Learning for a little over a year now. I’m not sure what we would have done without them. They have done amazing things for my granddaughter. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. The staff always has goal oriented activities for my granddaughter along with suggestions for things to work on at home. Not only do they work with goal oriented activities but they make it fun for a 2 year old! My granddaughter gets excited when we get to the building and wants to run to their office. The facility, waiting room, all of the equipment, and toys are also extremely clean!!
