I am originally from Michigan, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Michigan State University. My interest in research and the opportunity to complete an overseas clinical experience drew me to Georiga for an MS degree in Occupational Therapy at Brenau University. After graduation, I moved to Las Vegas, where I worked in both the hospital and outpatient pediatric settings. My pediatric work specialized in hippotherapy, social and emotional learning, and aqua therapy interventions. After several years I decided to explore travel opportunities that took me around the west coast to Nevada, California, and Hawaii. My love for the outdoors brought me to Alaska, where I have called home for a little over a year. My employment with PLPT began in June 2019. Here I have had ample opportunities to deepen my knowledge in interest areas. I am trained in The Beckman Oral Motor training protocol. My areas of interest include psychological and behavioral development, oral motor dysfunction, and sensory processing disorders.
